WILSON PERFORMER:
MULTI-USE ADDITION

Independant Study
Instructor: Michael Mcinturf
Autumn 2011

This project focused on a new addition to the front facade of the existing (update: demolished 2012) Wilson Auditorium building on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.  The new program would ask for critique spaces that would allow for flexibility and also create a new face and “billboard” for the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP).  The concept focuses on the original program of a performance stage and brings this to the forefront of the proposal.  Further, by taking cues from the tectonics of the original building and creating an adaptive interior space and an engaging exterior structure, the result would be a performing projection that would represent a new face for the college of DAAP.
